This is a pretty simple simple dish with minimal ingredients that I learnt from my father. This can be served as a side with both rice and roti. (Serves 3)

Recipe:
Boil one large potato and cut it into small cubes.
Purée three large tomatoes in a mixture grinder and set aside.
Heat some oil in a pressure cooker and add mustard and cumin seeds.
Add the tomato purée, and cook for 5 minutes.
Add half a spoon on salt, one spoon of corriander powder, one and half spoons of chilli powder, and quarter spoon of turmeric powder and cook for a couple of more minutes.
Then add the potatoes, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
Adjust salt to suit your palate.
Seal the lid of the cooker and cook the gravy for one whistle.
Just before serving, garnish with finely chopped corriander. (optional)
Note:
This dish doesn't use onion or garlic, and thus can be cooked even during festive days.
