A Child's First Library of Learning Series - Time-Life Books

This series of books has a special place in my heart. Recognizing that I had a lot of questions in my head, my dad bought me this series of encyclopedias in 2005, when I was six years old. This series is one of the key reasons why I have ended up in Science. This series offers 30 books encompassing a wide array of topics of Elementary Physics and Chemistry, Ecology and Life Science, Geography, History and Engineering, and explains a lot of phenomena that occur in our everyday life. The language is so simple and is ideal for a curious kid who just begins to read books. They are short books of just 85 pages with beautiful illustrations, which increases the book's appeal. Cartoon characterization, diagrams, drawings and photographs support and substantiate the information provided. The authors don't dump a lot of facts, unlike other encyclopedias out in the market. Even though the book is marketed as Children Book, I have revisited the book several times in my teenage, and the books have not lost their charm. In my opinion, this is a fantastic birthday gift for a child of six to eight years old.
